the location offered excellent access to the town (very convenient!). i found ample parking spaces right off the road. the room impressed me with its cleanliness. the bed was very comfortable, i slept like a log! the bathroom looked modern and had a warm feel.

the triple room felt a little tight for three people, but still manageable.

the triple room featured comfortable beds and fresh linen. it included a well-kept ensuite bathroom with provided toiletries and fresh fluffy towels, definitely appreciated after a long day.

the hotel offered a breakfast option, delivered directly to the room, convenient. the breakfast included fresh croissants, yogurts, and fruit, alongside a cafetiere of coffee that got me going each morning.

the hotel provided off-street parking and easy access to local shops and pubs, i found that very useful. there was access to tea and coffee making facilities in the room, with glasses and cups and a large bottle of complimentary water.

The triple room felt a bit cramped for three people. Breakfast was not included initially. It was available for an extra cost. eating in the room was difficult due to limited space. A common area would be better.

Acceptable Stay, but Some Issues

The room was very clean.

I stayed two nights and I never expected someone to come into the room. They moved my stuff about while I was out, especially as I had medical supplies. I should have been asked. The mattress felt very old and not comfortable, and the pillows were so flat. There was only one per person.

a charming stay just outside the city

the host provided a warm welcome. the room was clean including the hallway and stair areas. all staff were friendly. the bed was comfy. i found the location good! it was just outside the city centre with a 20-minute walk to the centre.

the towels were scarce. i could have used a hand towel. only two small ones were supplied for the shower. the toilet seat wasn't secure! it wobbled a little.

a sainsbury's local is nearby on faulkner street. oaklands hotel, a greene king pub, is opposite the hotel. i saw lots of bars and places to eat locally in a lovely area.

the double room featured tea and coffee facilities. it also had a sofa where i could chill and watch tv. the room was nice and quiet, really clean and reasonably priced too. my bed was made up daily.

the hotel is within walking distance of the city centre, around 20 minutes. a regular bus route is also available. there was ample street parking outside, so it was very convenient. it is near the shops and restaurants.

shower pressuretv signal

The shower pressure was definitely lacking. i expected more from it. also, the tv signal cut out a lot. It made watching anything difficult with constant breaking up. i think it needs addressing.
